Obituary

MARIA E. SOLIZ

Maria E. Soliz, 88, Loving Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend was called home to our Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Soliz lived a life of service to others.  She was a loving and compassionate woman who touched the hearts and lives of all she encountered. She was a wonderful cook. The absence of her Tamales, menudo and homemade tortillas will be missed by her family, "She was the best". One thing that the family will yearn for is her wicked sense of humor.

Mrs. Soliz was born in Cuidad Guerrero, Mexico and had been a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40+ years of marriage, Nicodemus Soliz Sr., her sisters Alicia Cuellar, Hilda Gutierrez and Elva Lara, her brother Oscar Cuellar and by her parents, Jose Nieves Cuellar and Maria Evangelina Martinez De Cuellar.

She is survived by her children; Nicodemus (Maria C.) Soliz Jr., Maria Guadalupe (Rogelio G. Trevino) Soliz, Maria Evangelina Soliz and Adan (Blanca) Soliz.

Her grandchildren; Nico Elias (Gabriela) Soliz, Oscar Joaquin Soliz, Adan Soliz Jr., Mario (Ileana) Soliz, Jorge Luis Gonzalez, Javier Antonio Gonzalez and Fernando Hernandez III.

Her great grandchildren, Damian Cantu, Neila Soliz, Nico Elias Soliz Jr. and Gael Aurelio Soliz.

Her Brothers; Jose Cuellar, Alberto Cuellar and Raul (Catalina) Cuellar.

Also, surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Our beloved Maria will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones.
