MARIA T. SALINAS Maria "Trini" Salinas passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Salinas was born in Michoacn, Mexico and lived in Laredo for most of her life. Mrs. Salinas was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed dearly by all of her family. She made many friends through her work in the insurance industry and with her charitable and advocate work in Laredo. Mrs. Salinas is preceded in death by her father and mother Jose Ascension and Carmen Campos. She is survived by her husband, Orlando; her daughter Rosario (Alonzo) De Leon, and sons, Orlando (Nancy), Oscar, and David (Nancy); her grandchildren, Alex (Tania), David, Rosaura, Anna Karen and David Jr.; and her two great granddaughters, Hania and Alexa. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Sr. Catarina, Jesus, Aurora, Jose Ascension Jr. (Josie), and Augustin (Ana). Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, September 2, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
