It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Dolores

who departed this life on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Mary, as she was known by her family and friends, taught for 37 years at
Laredo I.S.D. She was an exemplary teacher who inspired her students to
do their best and to try new things. She emphasized the importance of
reading and writing.
After retirement in 2004, Mary pursued her love for painting and jewelry
making at Laredo College.
Her love for dolls can be seen in her exquisite doll collection which she
proudly displayed at her house and during the Laredo Doll Club Meetings.
Mary was a proud member and officer of the club.
Genealogy was another passion for Mary and with her husband both
researched their ancestry tree and were charter members and officers of
the Villa de San Agustin de Laredo Genealogical Society.
Mary loved her family outings at their ranches –Los Arroyos and Arenal
which included hunting with her husband, boys and grandchildren. She
also enjoyed having her grandchildren come over to the house to spend
hours in the pool. Mary was a die heart Spurs fan.
