MARIA TRINIDAD LOPEZ Maria Trinidad Lopez passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the age of 96. Mrs. Lopez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years of marriage Jesus C. Lopez, by her parents Anselmo and Petra C. Pena, by her siblings; Santos Pena Torres, Mr. Isabel Pena, Paula Pena and Sara Pena. She is survived by her children: Ramiro Mendoza, Rogelio (Ida) Mendoza, Lydia (Julian) Navarro, Julieta (Mauro) Casas and Yolanda (Alonzo) Pizana. Her grandchildren: Martin Julian Navarro, Araceli Navarro, Maribel Navarro, Ramiro Mendoza Jr., Ruby Mendoza, Leticia Uvalle, Rogelio Mendoza, Jr., Rodolfo Mendoza, Cindy Marie Mendoza, Mauro Casas, Jr., Herminia Casas, Melissa Casas, Benito J. Casas, Nora Alicia Pizana, Mario Arredondo Pizana, Laura Pizana, Rachel Pizana, Alonzo Pizana, Jr., Yvonne Pizana and Christina Pizana. 49 great-grandchidren and 26 great-great grandchildren. Also a heartfelt gratitude to her caretaker, Maria Elena Gomez. The family would like to offer a sincere thanks to Dr. Jesus Pineda. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 4 to 9 pm and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 pm in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from the funeral home chapel. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m.at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
