MARIA LEAL VARGAS
Maria Leal Vargas, 94, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Florentino and Filomena Leal.
Brothers, Castulo Leal and Jesus Leal.
Grandchildren, Kristina (Gilberto) Torres, Luis Alberto Almeida, Alex (Elizabeth) Vargas and Vanessa (Cruz Emilio) Velasquez.
Brothers, Jose Maria (Alberta†) Leal and Florentino (Norma) Leal.
Sisters, Josefa (Inez) Castillo, Vicenta (Francisco†) Llañes, Gloria (Juan ) Esparza and Aurora (Juan) Flores.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Vara Hospice Care, Elara Home Health, Nurse Angel Serna and Nurse Cruz Hernandez. They would also like to offer a special "Thanks" to her caretakers, her grandson Luis, Jackie Coward and Raquel Estrada for their dedication to caring in caring for Mrs. Vargas.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 14, 2025 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A Chapel service was held on Friday, February 14, 2025. Funeral services followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Rolando Vargas, Armando Vargas, Alex Vargas, Luis Alberto Almeida, Alberto Almeida, Fernando Leal, Jose Luis Castillo, Jorge Luis Llanes, Jesus Davila and Manuel Davila..
