MARIA P. VEDIA
Maria P. Vedia, 96, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Vedia was born in Fort Worth, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose P. Vedia.
Parents, Narciso Palma and Maria Isabel Fuentes Reyes de Palma.
Sisters, Luz Torres and Maria Sierra.
She is survived by her daughter, Bertha Luz Solis (Roberto Salazar).
Grandchildren, Ruben Solis Jr. (Cynthia), Roger Solis (Christina), Robert Solis and Ashley Salazar.
Great-grandchildren, Alyana Nicole, Kaylee Ysabella, Ruben Solis III, Aubrey Mae Solis and Roger Anthony Solis.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 4 p.m to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
