MARIA T. VITELA

Maria T. Vitela, 86, passed away on Tuesday, May, 27, 2025.

Mrs. Vitela was born in Lampazos, N.L., Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Petra Peña.
Daughter, Mercedes Vitela.
Also preceding her are her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband, Genaro Vitela.
Children, Maria D. Garcia, Mayella Vitela, Max (Erika) Vitela and Jose Maria Vitela.
11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Brother, Rosendo (Juana) Peña.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased, officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . A Liturgy of the Word, officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS: Jose Vitela, Max Vitela, Angel Vitela, Daniel Vitela, Luis Romo and Francisco Vitela.
HONORARY PALLBEARER: Rosendo Peña.
