MARIA BEATRIZ WILSON

October 18, 1936 – June 7, 2021

Maria Beatriz Wilson was called home by our Lord on June 7, 2021. She was 84 years old. Maria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.   She was caring, warm, and had a great sense of humor. She had a good heart and was always there to help someone in need. Maria worked as a social worker with the Texas Department of Human Resources and retired after over 20 years of service. She was a volunteer at Laredo Medical Center. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Uvaldo and Mercedes Martinez, and her brother, Uvaldo Martinez, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Wilson, her sister Mercedes (Weston) Crawford, her sister-in-law, Matilde Martinez, and her children Elaine (Adrian) Rodriguez, Michael Wilson, Roberta Ramos, and her daughter-in-law, Maribel Wilson. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Lisa, Christopher (Irma), Mike, Adrian, Joseph, and Aaron, as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 4 to 9 pm with a rosary officiated at 7:00 at Hernandez Lopez & Sons Funeral Home, 800 Boston St. Funeral services will begin departing from the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.The funeral mass will be celebrated at  10:00 am at San Martin de Porres Church. Committal services and  interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
