Obituary

MARIA GUADALUPE YDROGO Maria Guadalupe Ydrogo, 76, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 24, 1936 in Benavides, Texas and resided in Laredo, Texas. Ms. Ydrogo was a devout member of the Holy Trinity Association from Holy Redeemer Church as well a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She also taught 1st communion, confirmation and baptismal classes at Holy Redeemer for about 25 years and was a guide for Talleres de Oracion y Vida. Ms. Ydrogo was preceded in death by her husband, Roberto G. Ydrogo Sr. who passed away on December 17, 1996. She is survived by her her sons and daughters, Diana Hilda (Jorge) Alvarez, Norma Alicia (Luis) Medina, Grace Ydrogo, Coach Bobby (Araceli) Ydrogo, Maria Elena Ramon, Fire Captain Jerry (Alice) Ydrogo, Raquel Guadalupe (Fidel) Quiroz and Rebecca Yvonne Dyer. Also survived by her brothers, Henry (Tommy) Macias and Manuel (Dora) Sandoval both from California. Grandchildren, George (Jackie) Alvarez, Jaime and Eric Alvarez, Cynthia, Christina and Robert Medina, Ashley, Tracey, Ariana and Brianna Ydrogo, Robert, Amanda, Mario and Victoria Ramon, Leslie, Stacey, JJ and Justin Ydrogo, Selina and Fidel Quiroz Jr., William and Jacob Dyer. Two great-grandchildren, Landon and Steven Alvarez. As well as nieces and nephews from California, Monica and Henry Macias, Annette and Manuel Sandoval Jr. along with other nieces and nephews and relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
