MARIA ZAPATA-MARTINEZ
Maria Zapata-Martinez, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at a local hospital.
Ms. Zapata was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and had been a long-life resident od Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Feliciano and Jacinta Zapata.
Grandson, Friz Schulz.
Brother, Genaro Zapata-Martinez.
Sisters, Anita Zapata-Martinez, Susana Zapata-Martinez and Albertina Zapata-Martinez.
She is survived by her daughters, Leticia Zapata, Bertha Benavides and Francis (Ricardo Jimenez) Fletes.
9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Brothers, Macario Zapata-Martinez, Damaso Zapata-Martinez and Fernando (Horacia) Zapata-Martinez.
Sister, Julia Zapata-Martinez.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
