It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doña Martha Francisca Guerra, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who left us peacefully on September 19, 2024 at the age of 80. Born on January 1, 1944 in Cedral, San Luis Potosi, she was a beacon of love and affection of all who knew her and carried the rich traditions of her Mexican heritage throughout her life, infusing our family with love, warmth, and a deep sense of connection. Martha Francisca Guerra was the heart of our family. Her home was always filled with the aromas of her delicious cooking, especially her famous tamales. She taught us the importance of family gatherings, where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and memories were created. Her nurturing spirit and wise counsel guided us through life's challenges. Martha Francisca Guerra showed us the importance of hard work and dedicated her life to her family, nurturing and guiding us with unwavering support and wisdom. Her warm smile and gentle spirit made every gathering brighter, and her stories will forever resonate in our hearts. She had a unique ability to make each grandchild feel special, always remembering the little things that mattered most to them.
She was proceeded in death by Federico Guerra; Husband, Jose (Jey) Hernandez, and Hope Guerra; Grandchildren.
She is survived by Lidia Gutierrez, Elisa(Jose) Hernandez, Martha Laura Galvan (Maria Candelaria Trevino), Norma Olivia (Ismael) Vitela, Federico(Angie) Guerra.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Servando Castillo, Martha Castillo, Elizabeth Porras, Abraham Pedraza, Maricela Garcia, Francisco Javier Garcia, Carlos Alberto Hernandez, Carla Lizette Hernandez, Lucero Annette Ramos, Estrella Laura Sosa, Amayrani Castellanos, Ireri Gaona, Noel Gaona Jr., Raul Jesus Gaona, Lynette Renteria, Stephenie Sanchez, Abani Guerra, and Kendra Lee Guerra. She's also survived by numerous great grandchildren nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends.
Martha Guerra will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love will continue to inspire us every day.
The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Southside Chapels, 2501 Ligarde St.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Holy Mass will be celebrated at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery. Information regarding the funeral services may be obtained by calling the funeral home at (956) 723-2979.
