Obituary

MARTIN R. MARTINEZ
Martin R. Martinez, 85, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at a local hospital.
Mr. Martinez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He was a veteran of the United States Army, inducted in April 17, 1953 and Honorably Discharged from active duty in March 25, 1955. He served as a Crewman with the Btry B 11th AAA BN- APO 541, Level E4 and was decarated with the AOM (GER)  and NDSM medals.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Angelita Rocha.
Brother in Law, Reymundo Soto.
Daughter, Claudia Martinez.
He is survived by his children, Julia Thayer, Dagoberto J. Martinez, Noe Alberto Martinez and Yvonne Martinez.
Numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Sister, Petra B. Soto.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Noe Martinez, Gilbert De Leon, Andrew Torres, Jose Luis Torres, Luis Soto, Marco Garza, Jose Vasquez and Alberto Canales.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Committal services will follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
