MARTIN ENRIQUE YBARRA
Martin Enrique Ybarra, 75, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Ybarra was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the United States Army, who reached the rank of Specialist E-4. He served his tour of duty during the Vietnam War, with the Co B 9th ENGR BN USAREUR. He was honorably discharged, in 1969, earning the National Defense Service and the Marksman M-14 medals. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Petra Ybarra.
Siblings, Benita Garcia, Santiago Ybarra and Ramona De Rego.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 48 years of marriage, Aurora Tenorio Ybarra.
Children, Eliza Gibney, Gina Ybarra, Eric (Roxanne) Ybarra and Steven (Mary) Ybarra.
13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Sisters, Jesusita Jalomo, Petra Lopez and San Juana Ybarra.
Brother, Alfredo Ybarra.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at San Agustin Cathedral. Committal services will follow in the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran's Section.
