Obituary

MARY C. JALOMO Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this John 11:25-26 Mary C. Jalomo, 90, lovingly known as "Nannie" to her family and friends entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 31, 2013. A devoted catholic, she was born in Ingleside, Texas. At an early age the family moved to Laredo, Texas where she attended local schools. She married the love of her life Armando Jalomo, Sr. a union that lasted 70 years. A strong believer in hard work together they were able to harvest God's fruitful production of life. She was founding active member of the Altar Society of Mother Cabrini Catholic Church, where she participated in many of the church activities. A strong believer of the fragility of the earth's resources, she was most at peace in the comfort of good friends at the family ranch. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Armando Jalomo, Sr. who passed away on October 2, 2012. Grandson, Nicolas "Nicky" Jalomo. Brothers, Jose Maria Munoz and Antonio R. Munoz. Parents, Anastacio Munoz and Otila Ortiz. She is survived by her Daughter and Son, Rosie J. Dovalina and Armando Jalomo, Jr. Grandchildren, Gracie J. (Javier) Pena, Cindy (Fernando) Mendoza, Lori Dovalina and George Ramos, Rosie D. (Ron) Castilleja, Cordy D. (Carlos) Gomez, Armando Jalomo, III, Guillermo "Willie" Jalomo, Oscar Jalomo and Nancy Jalomo. 18 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Sisters, Elsa (Louis, dec'd) Langston, Sally De Leon and Gloria Reyes. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. A special heartfelt thanks to her caretaker, Bertha. Visitation and a Vigil of the Deceased was held on Monday, November 4, 2013 in the Hernandez, Lopez & Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, November 5, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
