MARY G. PUIG
Mary G. Puig, 82, entered into rest on August 25, 2019, in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Puig was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She was the daughter of Joseph Gonzalez and Emilia Ortegon Gonzalez. Mary came to Laredo at the age of 10 and attended L.J. Christen Middle School. She graduated from Martin High School, in 1957. She then attended Laredo Junior College and was married on November 21, 1970. Mrs. Puig lived in San Antonio for 35 years and then returned to live in Laredo in the year 2000. She then worked, for many years, at Montgomery Wards, as a Cashier/Retail Clerk. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Gonzalez and Emilia Ortegon Gonzalez.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ruben Alfonso Puig.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
