Obituary

MATIAS "GUERO" ESTEVIS JR.

Matias "Guero" Estevis Jr., 66, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

Mr. Estevis was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. He retired from the Laredo Morning Times, after dedicating 34 years of service as a Delivery Agent. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Matias and Maria Felipa Estevis.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 48 years of marriage, Cecilia Sara Estevis.

Daughters, Angelica Maria (Miguel Angel) Longoria and Anna Laura (Luis Fernando) Cuevas.

6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Sisters, Clara Sauceda, Maria del Refugio Garza and Rosa Elia Estevis.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Maria Angelica Longoria, Luis Fernando Cuevas Jr., Jose Luis Cuevas, Maritza Angelica Longoria, Miguel Angel Longoria Jr., David Armando Cuevas, Miguel Angel Longoria and Luis Fernando Cuevas.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Logan David De Luna, Cecilia A. Cuevas and Cecilia Azenneth Cuevas.
