MATILDE M. ZAPATA

Matilde M. Zapata, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Mrs. Zapata was born in San Ignacio, Texas and was a long life resident of LAredo, Texas.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 64 years of marriage, Jose E. Zapata.

Son, Jose E. Zapata Jr.

Grandson, Andres Daniel Zapata.

Daughter-in-Law, Carmen Zapata.

Sister, Ramona Hu (Benjamin) of Hilo, Hawaii.

Brother, Eustolio Martinez.

Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 12, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Andy Zapata, Joe Zapata Jr., Alberto Brewster, Mike Brewster, Peter Brewster and Larry Succa.
