Obituary

MAURICIO MARTINEZ JR.
Mauricio Martinez Jr, 70, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at a local hospital.
Mr. Martinez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
He is preceded in death by parents, Mauricio and Lucia Martinez.
Son, Mauricio Martinez III.
Brother, Samuel Martinez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 20 years of marriage, Maria De la Luz Martinez.
Children, Cordelia Martinez, Lisa Marie (Rolando) Martinez, Kimberly Vargas and Nuno Martinez.
3 grandchildren.
Brothers, Abel (Margarita) Martinez and Alberto Martinez.
Sisters, Margarita Martinez, Esther Lozano, Sylvia (Armando) Hernandez and Minerva Martinez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing from the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
