MELCHOR ROBERTO GUZMAN

In Loving Memory of Melchor R. Guzman

Melchor R. Guzman, 67, peacefully departed from this world on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at his home in Laredo, Texas. He left behind a legacy of kindness and love, as well as a treasure trove of cherished memories. Melchor's presence was a source of guidance, strength, and unwavering support to many throughout his life.

Family was at the heart of Melchor's life, and his dedication to his loved ones was evident in every aspect of his being. Each family member saw him as a cornerstone in their lives, providing a strong and loving foundation that they could always rely on. Alongside his nurturing nature, Melchor had a sense of humor that brightened even the most challenging moments. He had a remarkable ability to find joy in life's simplest pleasures and share laughter with those around him.

Melchor was known for his warmth, kindness, and generosity. He possessed a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and welcomed, and his magnetic personality could easily spark a conversation and bring a smile to anyone's face.

Melchor was preceded in death by his father, Julio Guzman, his stepfather, Tomas Lugo, his mother, Maria Guadalupe Lugo, and his beloved wife, Maria Elena Guzman. He is survived by his sister, Maria Elena (Arturo+) Carrillo, his children, Robert Anthony (Julie) Guzman, Daniel (Lee) Guzman, and Michael (Emily) Guzman, his niece, Maria Elena (Dominic) Meza, his nephew Arturo Carrillo Jr., his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ryan, Nicholas Anthony, Elijah Liam, Rebekah Lee, Eliyanah Larissa, Sebastian Ezra, and his great-nephews and nieces, Rene (Kate), Cristian Anthony, and Isabella Grace.

Melchor's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his love will continue to guide and inspire his family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Michael Guzman, Daniel Guzman, Robert Anthony Guzman, Rene Meza, Cristian Garcia and Jesse Ortiz.
