MINERVA G. VALDEZ Minerva G. Valdez, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Valdez was born in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Enrique Valdez Jr. who passed away on May 25, 2011. She is survived by her sons, Rene (Norma) Valdez, Ruben Valdez and Reynaldo (Linda) Valdez. Grandchildren, Rene Javier Valdez, Monica Valdez, Bianka Valdez, Tatiana Valdez, Reynaldo (Jessica) Valdez Jr., Melissa (Tony) Aguillon, Megan Valdez, Jorge Valdez, Juan Valdez, Valerie Valdez and Andrew Valdez. Great-Grandchildren, April Valdez, Raymond Valdez, Alexa Valdez, Anabel Aguillon, Lily Aguillon. Brothers, Americo Gonzalez and Glafiro (Lydia) Gonzalez. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, and other extended family and many friends. Visitation and a Vigil of the Deceased was held on Friday, March 2, 2012 in the Hernandez- Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
