MINERVA VIGIL 05/22/1931 - 08/03/2012 Minerva Vigil, 81, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Vigil was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alicia and Manuel Villarreal. Her son, Teofilo Vigil Jr. Brother, Nicolas Villarreal. She is survived by her loving children, Adriana Vigil, Jaime (Rosa) Vigil, Javier (Dolores Guadalupe) Vigil, Ada Vigil and Rodolfo Romo, Jorge (Josefina) Vigil and Ana Maria (Henry) Espinoza. Grandchildren that she raised, Raul Flores, Juanita Martinez, Blanca Compean. 24 Grandchildren. 26 Great-grandchildren. Father of her children, Teofilo Vigil. Siblings, Juan Manuel Villarreal, Celestina Sifuentes, Julian Villarreal, Juana Sheppard, Alicia Hererra, Dolores Gonzalez and Gerardo Villarreal. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
