MODESTO LUNA Modesto Luna, 102, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Luna was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca Luna. Sons, Ramon Luna and Modesto Luna. He is survived by his children, Felipe (Rosa) Luna, Maria De Jesus (Juan) Perez, Margarita (Ramon Luis) Alvarado, Ricardo (Maria Elena) Luna, Maria Antonieta Luna, Maria Esther Luna, Baltazar (Rocio) Luna, Luis (Diana) Luna, Guadalupe (Liza) Luna and Jose (Socorro) Luna. 38 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
