MISS NORA ELIA MEJIA Miss Nora Elia Mejia, 41, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Laredo, Texas. Miss Mejia was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her mother, Herlinda Mejia. Brother, Jose Alfredo Mejia. She is survived by brother and sister, Jesus (Elia) Mejia and Juanita (Urbano) Garza. Also surviving her are nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
