NORA ALICIA SALAZAR
Nora Alicia Salazar, 62, entered our Lord's heavenly kingdom on July 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving daughters, Kristina and Kassandra. Nora was born on May 9, 1961 in Laredo, Texas. She was a proud Tiger of Martin High School, a member of the Martin High School band and part of the graduating class of 1978. Following her graduation, Nora pursued higher education and obtained a college degree in education. After completing her studies, she embarked on a fulfilling teaching career, spanning an impressive 38 years. Nora dedicated herself to educating middle school students in English at Christen Middle School. Nora's commitment extended beyond the classroom as she devoted her efforts to teaching ESL children and parents in the community. Nora was a caring daughter, an amazing sister, a loving wife, a devoted mother and the best grandmother. Nora was a loyal and fierce protector of her family. She was a joy to be around and anyone who was lucky to have met her would say the same. Nora delighted in morning coffee in her beautiful garden and "scary cherry" nights with her daughters and grandkids. She was the heartbeat of the home, the source of warmth and unconditional love that made the house feel like a sanctuary. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that no one can match. Nora's passing has come too soon. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her.
Nora is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Lidia Aguilar and her siblings Juan, Raul and Sonia.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Jose Luis Salazar.
Her children, Kristina Salazar and Kassandra Salazar. Her son-in-laws, Arnaldo "Bird" Sarli and Patrick Raborn.
