Norma Herrera, 48, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at a local hospital. Ms. Herrera was born in Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for sometime. She had been employed as a home health care provider for numerous years. She is preceded in death by her father Andres Herrera, by her brothers Jose Andres Herrera and Juan Mario Herrera She is survived by her three children, Ana Gabriel , Jose Pedro Jr. and Luis By her mother: Herlinda Herrera. By her brothers and sisters: Arcadio Herrera, Silvia Herrera, Jose Hildardo Herrera, Maria Luisa Herrera, Juan Martin Herrera, Eduardo Herrera, Juan Mateo (Amalia) Herrera, Emilia (Arturo) Agredano and Juan Gabriel (Guillermina) Herrera. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and Zapata Highway. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
