NORMA ALICIA RODRIGUEZ
Norma Alicia Rodriguez Valdez was born in Hidalgo, Coahuila. She was known as "Tia Licha" (Alicia) by her family and as "Mama" by her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who left this world at the age of 82 on November 19, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Licha, Mama, was a woman full of faith, warmth, kindness, and high spirited who had positive energy which touched everyone she met. She was known for her wittiness, loving nature, and generous heart. She was a source of inspiration, strength and support for her family and friends. She touched everyone she met with kindness and encouragement. She had strong convictions of justice for children and defended them and protected them whether they were blood relatives or not. She was a mother to all she met and loved without limits. She was a beautiful, thoughtful, caring and generous human being. Her heart had no limits and gave all of herself to serve others. She was the pillar of her immediate and extended family and friends. She will be greatly missed. We love you forever, Mama!
She is preceded in death by her grandsons, Baby Rodriguez and Willie Collins and by her parents Arnulfo Valdez and Maria De Jesus L. Valdez.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years of marriage, Roberto Rodriguez Sr.
Her children, Gabriela (Wilford Collins) Collins, Claudia Rodriguez, Robert (Susana Rodriguez) Rodriguez Jr., and Norma Rodriguez.
Her (17) grandchildren and her (4) great-grandchildren.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be officiated at 7:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 24, 2025 departing the funeral chapel in procession at 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
