OFELIA MATA
Ofelia Mata, 87, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Mata was born in Laredo, Texas and was a life long resident.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jonathan Evan Adams.
Parents, Romulo Manzanares and Maria E. Manzanares.
Brothers, Daniel Manzanares, Cesario Manzanares, Sylvestre Manzanares, Juan Hernandez, Romulo Jr. and Alberto Esparza.
Sisters, Constantina Ledesma, Susie Soto and Margarita Ortiz.
She is survived by her children, Armando (Elizabeth) Mata, Olivia Mata
Fernando Mata and Ricardo Mata.
Grandchildren,Ramiro (Estrellita) Mata, Sara (Joel) Chapa, Claudia Mata, Armando Gabriel Mata, Erika Mata, Jessica (Valeria) Mata, Araceli (Christopher) Vega and Adrian Fernando Mata.
Great grandchildren, Brandon Alvarez, Andres Chapa, Alexis N. Alvarez, Alessandra Chapa, Damian Casiano, Ivan Chapa, Christopher Vega Jr., Jose Armando Mata, Olivia Marie Vega and Aurora Mata.
Sisters, Irene Rodrigues, Lucia Villarreal and Maria Hoffman.
Brother, Carlos (Martha) Manzanares.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Ricardo Mata, Fernando Mata, Armando Mata Jr., Jessica Mata, Chris Vega, Joel Chapa, Andres Chapa and Brandon Chapa.
