OLGA ALVARADO

Olga Alvarado, 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Mrs. Alvarado was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Guadalupe and Mrs. Guadalupe Ramos Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 25 years of marriage, David Alvarado.

Children, Bertha Alicia Nieto (Jaime Carmona), David (Astrid) Alvarado Jr., Anthony Joseph (Connie) Alvarado and Sara (Grant) Carr.

Grandchildren, Jocelynn and Brooklyn Alvarado, Calvin Carr , Noa and Ezra Alvarado.

Siblings, Bertha (Julian) Peña, Jose G. (Ruth) Ramos Jr., Jose A. (Sandra) Ramos and Raul (Griselda) Ramos.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

She graduated from Martin High School in 1966.

She held various positions throughout her working career. She was employed at HEB and Kroger for numerous years. Later she worked as a Teacher Aide and Substitute Teacher at both UISD and LISD.

She was a very good-hearted person. Her personality and positiveness were contagious, she will be dearly missed by whose lives she touched. Olga was an amazing person and her relationship with her daughter, Bertha Alicia, was often going beyond the parent-child dynamic. The two were like best friends, like sisters. She was always in great spirits and loved to travel and dance.

There will be a memorial Mass on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at San Luis Rey Catholic Church at 11 a.m.
