Madrecita linda y muy querida, aunque ya te nos fuiste, todavía te sentimos profundamente en nuestros corazones donde siempre te guardaremos.  Tu nos enseñaste muchas cosas tan hermosas de la vida, sentimos ese amor sin condiciones que brinda una madre y siempre viste y te preocupaste por nosotros. Nos diste el ejemplo de humildad y generosidad con todos y Dios siempre nos cuido.  Te disfrutamos hasta el ultimo momento y te recordaremos en todo porque siempre nos hiciste reir, nos eseñaste como ser valiente y tambien como luchar por nuestros seres queridos.  Te queremos mucho y nos quedamos con tu hermoso recuerdo hasta que tengamos el honor de estar juntos contigo en la Gloria con Dios.
Olimpia H. Gomez, 91, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at a local hospital.   Mrs. Gomez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ricardo V. Gomez. Daughter, Maria Cristina Gomez. Parents, Jose and Herlinda Herrera. Brothers, Raymundo Herrera, Hipolito Herrera and Ramiro Herrera.   She is survived by her children, Diana (Larry) Kajs, Ricardo G. (Ana) Gomez, Rosa Maria Gomez and Ana Laura (Abel) Aranda. Grandchildren, Ricardo J. Gomez, David A (Christine) Gomez, Michael J. Gomez, Annette (Sam) Carter, Karina (Mike) Hiddemen, Xavier (Cindy) Cantu, Astrid Aranda, Arianne Aranda and Andres Aranda. Brother, Jose Maria Herrera.   Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:20 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
