Olivia Guajardo, a cherished member of the Laredo community, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, Olivia was a proud graduate of Laredo Martin and Tirza High School, where she was an active member of the Mighty Tiger Band. Following her passion for beauty and style, she earned her Cosmetology Degree in McAllen, Texas. Returning home, Olivia became the proud owner of Olivia’s Styling Room, offering her unique touch to the local community's hairstyles. Her talent and dedication extended to styling for the local Martha Washington Events, a testament to her commitment to her craft.

Beyond her professional life, Olivia was deeply devoted to her faith and her parish, Mother Cabrini Catholic Church, where she participated faithfully in the Prayer Group. Her kindness and spirit touched many.

Olivia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Adolfo Guajardo Jr.; her siblings Maria Magdalena “Nena” Garza, Diana Diaz, Raul “Rule” Garza Jr.; her nephew Michael Nathan Diaz; and her parents Raul Garza and Juanita Martinez Garza.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Marcos Adolfo Guajardo; her sister, Dora Garza Moreno; her brother, Jose Guadalupe “Lupe” Garza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and countless friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will be announced at a later date.

Olivia’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, service, and faith, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
