OLIVIA U. JONES
Olivia U. Jones, 96, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Maria De Jesus Urdiales.
Her beloved husband, Samuel D. Jones.
Grandson, Ramiro E. Sandoval.
She is survived by her children, Maria Angelica (Ramiro) Sandoval, Ricardo Valdez and Enrique Valdez.
Grandchildren, Patricia A. Sandoval, Liza (James) Giddens, Veronica Valdez, Ricardo Valdez Jr., Lauren Valdez, Michael Valdez, Rebekah Alvarez and Enrique Valdez III.
3 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
On the same day, funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon at St. John Newmann Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
