OSCAR DAVILA
Oscar Davila, 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mr. Davila was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and had been a long life resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Isabel Davila.
His beloved wife, San Juana Davila.
Daughter, San Juana Gonzalez.
Grandson, Juan "Pino" Gonzalez.
He is survived by his children, Esthela Davila, Oscar Davila Jr., Ramiro (Gloria) Davila, Elizabeth Castillo, Adolfo Davila, Javier (Griselda) Davila and Silvia (Marco) Chapa.
22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Sisters, Alicia Serna, Isabel Serna, Clara Contreras and Margarita Benavides.
Brothers, Fidel Davila and Amado Davila.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Santo Niño Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
