Oscar Munoz Dena Oscar M. Munoz's name was called by the Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2014 and he answered with the peace of knowledge that he has joined the saints in heaven and that he will have the light of life from now on. Oscar was born in Allende, Coahuila Mexico on September 29, 1926 to Manuel Zapata Munoz and Rebeca Dena Munoz. He joins his parents and older brother Jesus in Heaven. Oscar and his wife "Noni" were role models to their children by giving back to others. For over forty years, they were active volunteers in the community, PTA's, clubs and organizations, encouraging their four children to become volunteers and give back to the community they lived in. Surviving him is his beloved wife of 65 years of marriage, Leonor (Noni) Munoz, and their four children, Oscar J. (Norma) Munoz, Nora Munoz (Dr. Francisco) Leal, Jose G. (Lilly) Munoz, Cora Munoz (Rodney) Rowton; his four grandchildren, Marisa (Ben) Bertka, Cristina (Daniel) Garcia, Marcos (Richelle) Munoz, Biana Munoz and three great-granchildren, Noah Garcia, Eva Garcia and Ofelia Luisa Bertka. The family would also like to thank his wonderful caregiver, Tinita Munoz for her care, dedication and compassion to Dad. The Family will be receiving friends and family at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28th 2014. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Msgr. James Harris. Interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
