OSCAR OMAR RAMIREZ JR.

Oscar Omar Ramirez Jr., 77, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Ramirez was born in Anahuac Nuevo Leon Mexico but had been a lifelong resident of Laredo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar O. Ramirez Sr. and Maude G. Ramirez, by his brothers, Ismael Ramirez and Arnoldo Ramirez  and by his nephews, Gonzalo Ramirez Jr., Cruz Ramirez and Jose Angel Ramirez Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years of marriage Maria E. Ramirez.

His children, Oscar O. (Denise) Ramirez III, Jesus Armando Ramirez, Jorge Antonio Ramirez, Danielle Dominique (Eloy Fierro) Ramirez.

Grandchildren, Oscar O. Ramirez IV, Crystal Lynn (Jose Carrillo) Ramirez, David I. (Leslie) Ramirez, Jacob I. Ramirez, Alyssa F. Ramirez, Arabella G. Ramirez, Jackie Arredondo,  Isabelle Ramirez and 7 great-grandchildren.

His siblings, Gonzalo (Daria) Ramirez, Jose Angel (Myrna) Ramirez, Maria Angelica Ramirez, Graciela (+Jesus) Garza, Ricardo (Teresa) Ramirez and Patricia (Marissa Hinojosa) Ramirez.

Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a rosary officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon will be held  in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, February 3, 2026 with the funeral procession departing at 9:30 a.m. from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church. Committal Services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
