PABLO SALAZAR JR. JUNE 23, 1933 - JANUARY 19, 2013 Pablo Salazar, 79, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was born in Aguilares, Texas. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by C.B. Howland Jr. for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Enriqueta Salazar, son, Carlos Alberto Salazar, in-laws, Macedonio and Maria Garza, brother, Rogelio Salazar, sister, Bertha Salazar and brother-in-law, Juan Garza. Pablo is survived by his loving wife of 57 years of marriage, Domitila Salazar. Children, Jorge (Aurora) Salazar, Sylvia (Jesus) Uvalle, Gilberto (Maria Luisa) Salazar, Rosalinda (Carlos) Sanchez, Pablo (Juanita) Salazar, Carmen (Reyes) Rangel, Elsa Salazar, Marisela Salazar and Sandra (Guadalupe) Nieto. 32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks and gratitude to Rosalinda Sanchez and Carmen Salazar for their devoted service and loving attention provided to Mr. Salazar during his illness. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Veteran's Section of the Laredo City Cemetery.
