PAULA P. GUTIERREZ
Paula P. Gutierrez, 102, passed away, in Laredo, Texas, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving children and loved ones.
Mrs. Gutierrez was born in Encinal, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She was a devout Catholic, who was the founder and the first President of "The Holy Trinity Association", at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Gutierrez is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Manuela Perez.
Her loving husband, Juan Gutierrez Sr.
Daughter, Irma Gutierrez.
Sisters, Hilaria Perez, Petra Luna, Concepcion Rangel and Josefa Quintana.
Brothers, Manuel Perez, Macedonio Perez.
Son-In-Law, Charles Daniel Kelley.
She is survived by her loving children, Manuelita (Pablo) Peña, Juan (Hilda) Gutierrez Jr., Blanca A. (Jesus) Garcia Jr., Margarita (Candido) Gonzalez and Gloria Kelley.
13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving her are other relatives and very many friends.
Mrs. Gutierrez's family would like to mention a special "Thank You" to Dr. Dennis Cantu, St. Jude's Specialty Home Health Care Services, her Nurse, Gilsa Diaz, and to her caregivers, Graciela Coronado and San Juanita Fonseca, for the special attention and loving care provided.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
