PEDRO CASTANEDA Pedro Castaneda, 58, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Castaneda was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas most of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Castaneda, his brother, Raul Castaneda and by his sister, Amparo Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Villarreal. His children, Ana Castaneda, Pedro Castaneda, Jr., Juan Castaneda, Patricia Castaneda and Patricia Salazar. Also by his 18 grandchildren. His siblings, Joe Castaneda, Janie (Danny) Duke, Norma (Bernardino) Casarez, Yolanda Castaneda, Rosa (Terry) Dunson, Maria (Manuel) Ortega and Candelario (Mela) Ozuna. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow at a local cemetery.
