PEDRO AVALOS GARZA
Pedro Avalos Garza, 84, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at a local hospital.
Mr. Garza was born in Encinal, Texas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian Garza and Maria Garza.
Stepmother, Rosa Garza.
His beloved spouse, Delia Garza.
Sister, Reyna Garcia.
Brothers, Celestino Garza, Julian "Pollo" Garza and Eddie Lopez.
He is survived by his children, Alma R. (Jorge) Rodriguez, Pedro (Graciela) Garza Jr., Amparo (Jorge) Loera, Gerardo (Cynthia) Garza, Laura (Rudy) Garcia, Luis (Yolanda) Garza and Rene (Veronica) Garza.
17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Sister, Norma (Tirzo) Martinez.
Brothers, Rogelio (Sylvia) Garza, Oscar Garza, Jose Luis (Esther) Garza and Fabian (Patricia) Garza.
Sister-in-Laws, Zenia Garza, Juanita Lopez and Raquel Garza.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
