PETRA H. MARTINEZ Petra H. Martinez, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at a local hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Prudencio Hernandez and Antonia Sanchez Hernandez. She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Luis Martinez Children, Rosa Nelly (Juan Angel) Sandoval, Diana Araceli (Jose T.) Rangel, Javier (Rita) Martinez, Armando (Maria Victoria) Martinez and Jose Francisco Martinez. 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren Siblings, Emilio Hernandez, Concepcion Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez and Teodoro Hernandez. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
