PORFIRIO ORTIZ
Porfirio Ortiz, 88, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Ortiz was born in Antigua Ciudad Guerrero, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Ortiz and Esther P. Ortiz.
His loving wife, of over 68 years of marriage, Alicia Ortiz.
He is survived by his children, Martha Alicia Ortiz, Porfirio Ortiz (Socorro Acevedo), Leticia Morua (Carlos), Nora (Antonio) Rodriguez, Nelia Ruiz (Juan Carlos), Alma Calvillo (Martin), Norberto Ortiz (Julia) and Jorge Ortiz.
Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Religious Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
A precession will depart the funeral home on Monday, September 26, 2016 immediately following the Religious Service. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
