Rafael G. Garza's Obituary
RAFAEL G. GARZA
Rafael G. Garza, 77, was called by the Lord, surrounded by his family, at a local hospital on April 17, 2017.
Mr. Garza was born in Valladares, Coahuila, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He worked at Yellow Freight Company, for 24 years, until his retirement.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always cherished his children and loving family.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Garza and Candelaria Garza.
Brother, Arturo Garza.
Parents-in-Law, Zaragoza and Lydia Medina.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 49 years of marriage, Romelia M. Garza.
Children, Romy (Fernando) Limon, Roxanna L. (Reymundo) Davila III, Rosario Garza, and Rocio (Ernesto) Esparza.
Grandchildren, Juan Javier, Albert, Reymundo, Alyssa, Samara and Jorge.
Also surviving him are brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The Garza family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Dr. Alex Blanco, Dr. Benson Huang, the Staff at Doctors Hospital, St. Jude Specialty Home and Health Care Services, the Staff at Providence Hospital and all of those who provided special and loving care for him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
