Obituary

RAFAEL L. GONZALEZ
Rafael L. Gonzalez, 82, passed away on July 8, 2021.
Mr. Gonzalez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymundo Gonzalez and Alicia L. Gonzalez.
Brothers, Edmundo, Jorge and Alfonso Gonzalez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 42 years of marriage, Beatrice L. Gonzalez.
Sister, Elvira Rendon.
His favorite nieces, whom he loved as if they were his daughters, Beatriz (Jimmy) Jimenez and Mary Lou (Severo) Castillo.
His best friend, Joe Palacios, who up until the last day, was always by his side.
Also surviving him are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Gonzalez's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Altus Hospice, for the constant care they provided. They would also like to offer a special "Thank You" to Mr. Gonzalez's circle of neighbors and friends, for always lending a helping hand.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
