RAFAEL VITAL Mr. Rafael Vital, beloved husband, father and grandfather, enter into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the age of 91. Mr. Vital was a tender and compassionate man who never refused a helping hand to anyone. His absence will leave an irreplaceable void in the lives of the many people he touched. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the ICU nurses and staff of Laredo Specialty Hospital, Dr. Benson Huang, and DR. Gilberto Garza-Lozano for their kindness and attentive care that was extended to our father. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuela and Pascual Vital. Sister, Ramona and his beloved daughter, Teresa Medellin. He is survived by his loving wife Guillermina Vital. His beloved children, Lucas Vital, Julia (Andres) Garzoria, Rafael Vital, Jr., Rosa (Gerardo) Oliveros, Juan (Trini) Vital, Roy (Oralia) Vital, Norma Vital Ramos, Rosario (Gordon) Jarrell, Jose A. Vital, Anna Laura (Alberto) Valenciano and Maciel Vital. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Maria Vital. 37 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
