Ramiro F. Garza, 78, of Laredo, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Ramiro was born on August 3, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas to Josue and Maria Luisa Garza. He graduated from Harlandale High School in 1965 and served in the United States Air Force for four years.

Upon returning back home, Ramiro moved to Uvalde, Texas to begin his life as a snack distributor with the company Tom’s. In 1979, while in Uvalde, Ramiro met his wife, Yolanda Garza. They married on July 28, 1979. They relocated to Laredo, Texas to build a life together.

For 45 years, Ramiro built a route dedicated to snack vending in convenience stores and vending machines in various locations across the Laredo and surrounding areas.


Ramiro lived a life deeply rooted in his Christian faith. He was a founding father and an unwavering pillar of Gateway Assembly Church, and his profound devotion was evident to everyone around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Josue Garza and Maria Luisa Flores Garza, and his brother Roberto Garza.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Yolanda Garza. His daughters Lynnette Garza and Yvette Miranda (Carlos). Grandchildren include Roberto Pena III (Linda), Damian Cortez (Vanessa), Cristabel Cortez, Carlos Miranda Jr., and Carla Miranda. He also has two great-grandchildren Emmett and Hailey Pena. He is also survived by his siblings George Garza (Raquel), Raquel Garcia, Richard Garza (Lucy), Rubén Garza (Elaine), Raul Garza (Cecilia), Roger Garza (Ruth), Yolanda Garcia, and Rudy Garza. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ramiro’s wife and daughters extend their deepest gratitude to Belen Ramirez. Her constant presence and compassion truly did not go unnoticed by any of us. Thank you for everything you did.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Chapel service officiated by Rev. David Delgado will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026. Religious service will be hel;d at 10 a.m. at Gateway Assembly Church, 3714 Texas 359. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Roberto Pena III, Damian Cortez , Rudy Garza Jr., Raul Gazca Jr., Jonathan Gazca and Arnoldo Gonzalez.
