RAUL ALMAZAN Raul Almazan, 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in a local hospital. Mr. Almazan was born in Zaragoza, Coahuila Mexico and had been a life long resident of Laredo, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eladio and Ernestina Almazan. Brother and Sisters, Elena Almazan, Manuel Almazan and Lourdes Almazan de Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years of marriage, Rebecca Almazan. Sons and Daughters, Patricia A. (John) Munoz, Graciela A. (Raul) Bernal, Raul Almazan and Eduardo Rene Almazan. Grandchildren, Angel Ochoa, Jesus Ochoa, Elizabeth Almazan, Jorge Andres Almazan, Edgar Almazan, Eduardo Rene Almazan Jr., Blanca Valeria Almazan and Raul Alejandro Almazan. Also surviving him are other brothers, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
