Raul Garza Jr.

Raul Garza, Jr. went into an eternal rest on November 8, 2022, at the age of 78 in San Antonio, TX.  Raul was born on September 2, 1944, in Laredo, Texas to his parent's Raul Garza, Sr. and Juanita Garza. Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Raul Sr and Juanita, Sisters, Magdalena, and Diana Diaz.

He is survived by his loving wife Maria Garza, sons Raul Garza III (Sandi) and Esteban Garza, Grandchildren Cassandra and Jessica.

He is also survived by his surviving siblings, brother Jose Guadalupe (Santos) Garza and his sisters, Dora (Armando) Moreno and Olivia (Adolfo +) Guajardo. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends and colleagues.

Raul Garza, Jr. was a high school/college instructor for over 35 years. He spent 29 of those years teaching at Holmes High School. He loved to support Holmes Huskies athletics over the years. Before starting his teaching career, he was a veteran of the United States Army and was part of the United States Army Band. Raul loved to also spend time with his family and loved ones in Laredo, TX.  He will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Castle Ridge Mortuary North located at 8008 W. Military Drive San Antonio, Texas 78227 Visitation from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Committal services will be held at a later date.
