REBECCA GARZA Rebecca Garza entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the young age of 43. She was a wonderful sister, aunt, godmother and friend. And she will be greatly missed. As a lifelong resident of Laredo, Rebecca was an accomplished entrepreneur. She was the proud owner of "Milagros" an Arts and Crafts store that specialized in crosses, crucifixes and religious articles that were personally crafted by her. She was also a certified beautician that specialized in nails having worked at Nails Parlor for several years. Later in her life, she earned an Associates Degree in Radiology at Laredo Community College and was employed at Laredo Medical Center as an ultrasound sonographer for over 14 years. As a devoted Catholic she was a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church and partook of many of the parish's functions. Regularly attending Sunday noon Mass always sitting in the front row with a big smile. Earlier this year she had completed the ACTS retreat at San Martin De Porres Church. Rebecca had a big heart always putting her family, friends and patients before herself. If anyone was ever in need of any assistance, she was always there to offer a helping hand without any hesitation. She also loved spending time with her family who will miss her the most and who are left with very special and fond memories of such a special woman. She was preceded in death by her mother: Nicolasa S. Garza. She is survived by her father: Fernando Q. Garza By her brothers and sisters Lupita G. (Frank) Fuentes, Fernando (Anna) Garza Jr., Mary R. Garza, Reynaldo (Gina) Garza, Margarita (Victor) Rosas, Gerardo Garza, Alejandra (Arnoldo) Puente. Her nieces and nephews; Curtis Garza, Derek Garza, Aaron Garza, Judy (Javier) Garza, Ray (Melissa) Garza Jr., Kayla (Spencer) Garza, Margaret Rosas, Nicholas F. Garza, Javier Puente and Juan Carlos Puente. Her great-grandnephews; Jayden Gonzalez, Brooke Lynn Watt and Kaira Garza. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St, at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will the follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
