Refugio
Escobedo
d. Jan 19, 2018
Refugio "Cuco" Escobedo, 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered,
"Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly we could not
make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only
takes the best."
Mr. Escobedo graduated from Martin High School in 1962. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era, until he was honorable discharge in 1967.
During his lifetime, he worked at Union National Bank, at Continental Trailways and finally at IKON Office Solutions,
a position he thoroughly enjoyed.
Mr. Escobedo was involved with the community as a member of the Noon Optimist, Border Olympics and at
St. Patrick's Men's Club where he was a past president. He also enjoyed working with the youth in Little League.
He loved to dance and he and his wife were regulars at local dances. His favorite hobby was playing golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Irineo and Juanita Escobedo.
