RENE JUAN CARDONA
Rene Juan Cardona, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
Mr. Cardona was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Cardona.
Mother, Virginia Garza.
Brothers, George F. Cardona, Ruben Cardona and Antonio V. Cardona Jr.
He is survived by his children, Bobbie Lee Cardona, Sheila (Michael Vela) Cardona, Rene Cardona Jr., Charlotte (Norma) Cardona, Debra (Lydia) Cardona and Jamie Lee (Jose) Bravo.
Grandchildren, David Vela, Richard Leza, Malorie Vela, Skyylyn Rodriguez, Andrea Garza, Devin Lugo, Derek Bravo and Daniel Bravo.
Great grandchildren, Anastasia Madrigal and Alexander Madrigal.
Father, Antonio V. Cardona Sr.
Siblings, Juan Rene (Luisa) Cardona, Sergio (Mary) Cardona, Javier (Perla) Rodriguez and sister, Anna Maria Cardona.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: David Vela, Richard Leza, Rene Cardona Jr., Devin Lugo, Jose Bravo, Albert Cardona, Mike Rodriguez and Roland Cardona.
