Obituary

REYMUNDO "EL PAJARO" CANALES
Reymundo "El Pajaro" Canales, 81, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mr. Canales was born in Realitos, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Placido Canales and Eudelia Canales.
Siblings, Raul Canales, Maria Centeno, Francisca Casiano, Minerva Arispe, Rogelio Canales, Ruben Canales, Jose Ramiro Canales, Rosa E. Quiñones.
Granddaughter, Carolina Canales Manjarrez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years of marriage, Maria de la Luz Canales.
Children, Griselda (Michael) Brock.
Diana Canales Murillo, Maria de la Luz (Ricardo) Tijerina, Irma Canales, Martin Castillo and Reymundo Canales Jr.
8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
